How to Begin Your Journey with Us

Q: I like what I see and I want to get started with your service. How do I proceed?

A: Just click Get Started to create your account and begin the onboarding process. This will tell us more about you and your pet. It helps us verify we can provide the services you need. Plus, you'll get a chance to review our Client Service Agreement and Pricing. Once your onboarding is complete, you'll gain access to our Pet Portal. Here, you can request services, pay invoices, or leave us messages about your furry friend.

Our Services: Pet Sitting and Concierge

Q: Does Baker Street Petcare offer both pet sitting and concierge services together in Lynnwood?

A: Absolutely! At Baker Street Petcare & Concierge, you can book both in-home pet care (like drop-in visits or dog walking) and concierge services (such as house watching, pet taxi, or poop scooping) together in Lynnwood and surrounding areas like Edmonds, Shoreline, and Mountlake Terrace.

Concierge Services: What We Offer

Q: What concierge services are available in Lynnwood, Edmonds, Shoreline, and Mountlake Terrace and how do they work?

A: We offer a range of concierge services in these areas:

  • House Watching: We drop by your home to water plants, toggle lights, manage deliveries, and keep the house looking lived-in.

  • Lockout Support: If you have a key on file with us, we’re happy to assist if you get locked out. This is a free service if one of our pet care professionals is currently in your area and has your key.

  • Poop Scooping: Regular yard cleaning and waste disposal start at $25 per half acre.

  • Pet Taxi: We can transport your pet safely to vet appointments, grooming, or play parks. We can stay or leave them with a caregiver, based on your preference.

Dog Walking: What to Expect

Q: Do you do "Pack Walks" or walk more than one dog at a time?

A: We can handle up to three dogs from the same family at a time. However, we don't offer "Pack Walks" combining pets from different clients unless requested. We prefer to focus on the pets of one family at a time.

Positive Reinforcement: Our Approach

Q: Are you a "Positive Reinforcement" care provider?

A: Yes! We use Positive Reinforcement for all of our clients' pets while they’re under our care. We understand there are many views on training, and we respect each owner’s decisions. However, physical correction of behavior is absolutely not a service we offer. We do provide plenty of tasty salmon treats (dietary restrictions considered) and lots of love and encouragement.

Harness Recommendations for Strong Pullers

Q: My dog is a strong puller, and I haven't been able to find a collar or harness that will hold him. What is your favorite harness?

A: Different brands may not work for every dog due to body build, sizing, and design. However, we’ve found that the Wonder Walker Harness suits most needs really well. It can be attached at the front or back and does a great job of helping to correct pulling behaviors in most breeds without putting unnecessary pressure on the neck and back. We generally keep extras on hand, so if you’d like to "try before you buy," just let us know!

New Walk Client Requirements

Q: What requirements do you have for taking on a new walk client?

A: Pets must be non-aggressive and have basic leash manners. A little reactivity is fine -- just let us know what triggers them and we'll do our best to avoid it. We’ve taken dogs as large as a Great Pyrenees, but it really depends on the dog. Most of this will be determined at the Meet & Greet.

Training Support: What We Can Do

Q: Do you do training?

A: No, we’re not licensed trainers and don’t provide that specific service. However, we will help reinforce the training you’ve already given your pets using your personal vocabulary. For example, one person's "shake" means shake paws, but if you want them to "shake" the wet off their fur, we can help reinforce that behavior. We can also work with them on leash manners to help them enjoy their walk time even more.

Kitty Care: Vacation Support for Cat Owners

Q: I have two cats and need to go on vacation. I have a dry feeder and waterer but need someone to come in and feed them their wet food and check their litter. Can you do that?

A: Yes! This is a perfect fit for our drop-in Kitty Care service. It’s a short visit just to check in on your cats and ensure everything is running smoothly. We can give medication (oral or topical), feed wet food, check the litter, and give your kitties the affection and playtime they miss when you’re away. While you’re gone, we can also collect mail, adjust lighting, and create the appearance that someone is home to help deter break-ins.

At Baker Street Pet Care, we’re dedicated to providing the best in-home pet care services. We know how busy life can get, and we’re here to help. Let us take care of your furry family members so you can enjoy peace of mind!
